At Freedom Life, children from 3 months through 5th Grade are part of our FL Kids ministry. We spend significant time and resources to offer safe, creative learning environments where kids can interactively learn God’s Truth and feel valued by their leaders. Our heart is to partner with parents and families to be an active part in their child’s spiritual growth.

FL Kids provides programs at every Freedom Life campus on Sunday mornings, as well as special events throughout the year.

Special thanks to all of our volunteers and families that made our Power Up Vacation Bible School a huge success. It was an amazing week!

Freedom Life follows the Orange Strategy that employs two main ideas: helping kids see Jesus for who He is and helping kids see themselves the way God does.

We want to give children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of love He has for each of them. We focus on three basic Truths:

  1. God Made Me

  2. God Loves Me

  3. Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever

Our nursery and preschool staff understand that their role is much more than babysitter and come to invest into the lives of the children. They are all adequately qualified to serve in this ministry. Each staff member has completed a thorough application, background check and training program.

Theme Verse: “…And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man.”   Luke 2:52

Our vision for the FL Kids ministry is to help elementary students build a solid foundation through good habits, worship and service so they are empowered to make the good decisions into their teenage years. We strive to teach three foundational Truths:

  1. Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice.

  2. Faith: I can trust God no matter what.

  3. Friendship: I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.

Every weekend the elementary students experience worship in the auditorium for the first 20 minutes of the service before being led to a fun environment. Teaching focuses on monthly virtues, supported with lessons from the Bible. Every month the kids are challenged to learn a new Scripture memory verse. FL Kids volunteer staff also spend time in small groups with the children to enable relationship-building and encouragement in all areas of life.

FL Kids is jam-packed with exciting demonstrations, discussions and interactive games! Its volunteers are caring individuals who have successfully met all background check requirements, and who are willing to spend time investing into the lives of the next generation. There is no better place for young students to be on a Sunday morning that in the FL Kids Ministry!

What if my child needs me?

If your child needs you for any reason while you are participating in the service, your child’s unique number given at check-in will show on the multi-media screen and we encourage you to respond by coming to check on your child.

What time can I check-in my child(ren)?

Parents are strongly encouraged to complete the check-in process prior to the start of each service. Nurseries and classes are open 15 minutes before the service is slated to begin. Elementary students are dismissed to FL Kids following the first 20 minutes of worship.

Can someone else pick up my child(ren)?

For safety purposes, each child is provided with a unique check-in number and is only released from the classroom when a parent or responsible guardian provides the corresponding tag.  Should you accidentally misplace the tag, the room leader will ask you a few additional questions to assure your identity.  We will NOT dismiss children with an older sibling.

Please alert us of any special needs your child may have.

Special needs involves anything related to development, allergies or behavior. This will help us provide the specific care and attention children may need to make their experience positive.
